Douglas is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of New South Wales, Australia (1976), a Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and a trainee member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (UK). Continued professional development has broadened his range of professional skills to include a Diploma in Building Surveying from the College of Estate Management, Reading, UK. Douglas has worked in a senior capacity at every level of the property development process from initial feasibility studies, through the design and construction process to post-completion facility management and maintenance.
Having gained architectural experience on residential and institutional projects for several years in Australia, Douglas travelled to London in 1979, leading RM&B Consultants' Middle East projects team for the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kuwait. In 1981 he was posted to Qatar as a member of the design team for the State Palace of Qatar, and subsequently appointed as resident Executive Architect from 1982 -1985.
Since completion of the Doha Palace, Douglas has worked with several highly respected international firms as Senior Architect/Project Manager on a wide variety of building types and many major projects throughout the Middle East, notably the award-winning Development of Nizwa Town & Souq, Dubai Dhow Wharfage, the Central Bank of Oman, a Guest Palace for the Sultan of Oman and Jumeirah Beach Residences, Dubai.
Douglas joined Cluttons as Manager, Saudi Arabia, in 1994, gaining additional experience and qualifications in feasibility studies, contract administration and valuation as well as "downstream" experience in general practice aspects of property surveying and building management, eventually setting up, growing and controlling a project co-ordination division.
Langmead Associates WLL (Bahrain) was established in April 2000 to provide business consultancy advice, project co-ordination and contract administration services to a wide range of clients, ranging from the major multi-nationals to banks and private sector companies. Since the inception of the company, Langmead Associates WLL has established a Gulf-widespresence, having completed assignments in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Steady growth in the business led to the opening of a branch office at the Dubai Airport Free Trade Zone in Dubai in 2005, from which new divisions specialising in Facility and Asset Management Strategic Consulting, and property related IT system consulting and software are being set up.
Ann Simm Business Excellence Consultant

Ann is an acknowledged expert in the areas of Business Excellence, Culture Change, Performance Management, Organisational Development and Leadership Programmes. Ann also lectures on Business Improvement for the Institute of Directors.
Working with Bywater between 1990 - 1992 Ann was seconded to KPMG Canada to help set up their Consultancy practice. During that time she was responsible for Consultant development programs, leading major Transformational Change teams and the management of key client relationships.
Ann has been involved in the development of Business Excellence Models and has been closely involved with the changes and evolution over recent years. Ann, in addition to being a qualified EFQM lead assessor, also sits on the Advisory Panel of the British Quality Foundation which provides guidance and advice on Consulting around the world.
Ann has been working in the Middle East since 2002 on various assignments across the region, and joined Langmead Associates in Dubai in 2005.

Arun D'Souza Consultant

Arun's background as an interior designer and project manager enables him to assist our clients with their corporate office fitouts.
After graduating in interior design from Mangalore University in 2003, Arun gained experience working with an interior design firm, following which he spent 3 years in the capacity of project manager on commercial office fitouts for blue-chip Fortune 500 clients prior to joining Langmead Associates in Bahrain in 2008.

William has been educated extensively throughout the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE. He has been working and training as a CAD technician with Langmead Associates WLL in their Bahrain and Dubai offices since 2008.

Sanjay Kumar Jain holds a First Class Architecture Degree from Sir. J.J. College of Architecture Mumbai, India. He has received a Master Degree with distinction in Facilities Management from Heriot Watt University , Edinburgh, UK. He was awarded the best student of the year award in 2009 by Heriot Watt University, UK.
He has professional experience of more than 20 years and has worked in the GCC region from 1993.
